They set the evening’s tone of goodwill and inclusiveness with sincere paeans to our city.”

“I went to High Dive on a Thursday to see some live music and unwittingly stumbled into the Holy Ghost revival that is Garage Voice. At the foundation of their lyrics are Biblical references, sometimes lifted directly from scripture. The dark Old Testament passages are met head on with gritty guitar tones and ominous organ parts as Garage Voice sits squarely at the intersection of text and context. By weaving in references to such classic gospel tunes like His Eye is on the Sparrow, there is something about Garage Voice that appeals to the apostle and the apostate alike.”
