This past Sunday was our first show at the Comet. IT was AWESOME. Great line up, great music, great crowd, GREAT. We shared some new songs as well! Blood on the Doorpost & How Faint, it sure is swell sharing new songs. One day i’d like to do a show that is ONLY new songs, ahhh….*dreamy*.

My boy Matt Turk took these snaps and sent em to me! Tanx! Check him out HERE

I’m counting down the days to our first tour of the year, We’ll be sharing the road with our good friend Adam Pasion, sharing new songs, going a backwards route. It’s gonna be swell.

Merry Christmas to one and all! So much love from us boys!

FINALLY

brmc

We boys certainly enjoy the wonderful rock n’ roll of another 3 piece BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB. They have just released their first live DVD including the audio versions as well. I had the sweet opportunity of seeing em live a few yrs back and it royally rocked my face off. Since then I have eagerly been waiting for a live release to come from these gritty rock n’ roll boys. They’ve also put this out on vinyl….just like our new EP :D winky wink. SO if you already have our new EP, the most natural next step would be to get this new BRMC record! Jus sayin’. I’m off to get my rock on!

Track 1 of EP

Track 1

I wrote this on the classical guitar thinking it would be an instrumental thing that I would just play by myself whenever I would practice guitar. I had just got into Cat Stevens for the first time and was listening heavily to “Teaser and the Firecat” and loved all his chord change ups and how quick they were in and out of key. This deff. lent a hand to the classical feel of this song.

During our 2nd tour of the year with Noah Gundersen we stayed with our friend Jen who plays a MEAN clarinet. I whistled her the melody line and we started jamming around on it. When we got back home I wrote the next track on the record ‘Trust.Love.Suffer’ and started to think that this little instrumental song would be a great intro to it. We tried it out and it fit just right! We later asked SILVER & GOLD to try out the melodic line and again, it fit just right!

We’ve never started out a release of ours with such a long instrumental song, but I certainly think it introduces the atmosphere of the record really well.
