This is a glimpse into the process of our screenprint poster for our Tractor show. Tric and I hashed out themes and composition styles. He then vanished for a couple days into his room and sketched his fingers off. We made an old school text box and got the screen made.

Patrick & Paul Toney are some of the most creative people I know. Keep your eyes open for future stuff these kids will be pulling off, NUTS. Paul & I went to school for graphic design and then both happened to work for the same screen printer after school. He has put in at least 24 hrs on this project (thank you bro!) what a champ. We also had some help from our friend Heather (thank you siss!).

We’ve made 2 diff color versions for this event. Patrick went all over and posted about 70 around. He went back a couple days later to see a lot of em gone.. so I guess people are really diggin em and taking them. Patrick said people were asking him for prints as he was puttin em up. SO we had to make another 100 and tried a new color scheme.

We also made a couple shirts…would anyone out there be interested in wanting this shirt if we made…lets see….like 20? Maybe you could only get it at the Tractor show? Give us some feed back, we’re debating on doing it or not.

Tric busted out the beats when he was put on the spot by his friend Jesse at an open mic on Monday. Thanks to Jocelyn for filming this!

Last week at the Q Cafe benefit show we pulled out a cover that we’ve often sung on the road in the van. Bruce is heavily featured with his stand up bass contributions, have a listen, and if possible sing along.

Last night we had the delight of being in an incredible line up. Travis Ehrenstron-Young Lions-Tony Kevin Jr.-Valhalla Hill. Each artist played for free for the benefit of the Q to up the anti with new sound equipment. It certainly was one of my favorite shows to be involved in and everyone who came made for an excellent audience. Thank you all for sharing your time, your money, and your ears. It is so good to support one another and we cherish yours.

I didn’t shoot much on this tour, though i planned on shooting even more then last tour! I did manage to snag some snaps while we drove through San Fran. This was our last day in Cali, we ate amazing Thai food (I got this pumpkin curry that was filthy good), snagged some amazing jazz albums (Miles Davis: Sketches of Spain & Kenny Burrell: Midnight Blue) at Amoeba music, had a lengthy GV meeting at Borders about what we’ll be doing next, AND picked up 3 bags of my favorite coffee beans from Blue Bottle. YUM!

Freeze & Thaw

I’ve been posting pictures on the dichotomy of Freeze & Thaw. I really enjoy finding pictures that match these themes, it illuminates Freeze & Thaw even more for me and I hope it does the same for you. SO in saying that I jus thought to myself that if any of you have taken pictures around these or have seen some incredible snaps that would fit to share the direction or your work with me. I could then post some of these shared images. PLEASE share (ahem…cough…fellow photo friends) :D holla!
