Friends,
The Q Cafe just released a promo video, and in the background is a live performance of “Cropper” from our last show there.

Adam is a remarkable musician, and we’ve been wanting to tour together for over two years. Don’t miss this!
This weekend I had the privilege of playing bass with Lower Lights Burning at their Q Cafe show. Abby Gundersen from The Courage joined us on violin. I must say, their latest EP Climbing Out from the Dark and their new, unrecorded songs, are their best yet. It’s great when an EXCELLENT band keeps getting better and better.
Here are two songs from the concert on Monday. “Samson”, one of the most profoundly penitent songs I’ve heard, and “Answers”, so passionate you just have to listen.

We played our annual Christmas show at a new venue in Renton called The Upper Room. Seth Martin & the Menders came up from Portland to play.
Songs included an instrumental, swinging “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman”, “Joy to the World”, “Oh Come All Ye Faithful”, and the beautiful crowd-sing-a-long “Silent Night”. We also played a couple Christmas songs we wrote, and music from every album of ours. This concert had more variety than any one previous.
Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!

Ben Blood filmed and made this video over the first two weeks of the tour. The song is “12 Minutes” by the Denouement, off of their album Low Tide.
Enjoy.
We are now in California.
On the drive down, while I was reading The Confidence Man: His Masquerade by Herman Melville, I came across this fitting quote:
“…as if his memory, before suddenly frozen up by cold charity, as suddenly thawed back into fluidity at the first kindly word.”
Freeze & Thaw! How timely to stumble upon the word combination. We’ve left the cool of the Northwest for the warmth of southern California.
Thank you for listening to Freeze & Thaw. Starting this Saturday, come see us on our west coast tour and get your copy of the EP. Freeze & Thaw is available on CD, and soon to be on vinyl with a free mp3 download of the songs! Click here for tour dates!

If you’d like to purchase our new album right now, Freeze & Thaw is available for pre-order in our Store.
